Morgan Pryor is a culture writer and journalist based in New York City.
After growing up in North Texas, I moved to New York City to attend NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where I recently graduated with a concentration in Culture Writing and Criticism. I am passionate about pop culture and the arts — everything from fashion to film to visual art to interior design — and how writing about and analyzing these subjects shapes our perspective and the way we interact with the world.
I'm working as the Commerce Editorial Assistant at Apartment Therapy and The Kitchn, where I started after interning at CNN Underscored, CNN's e-commerce and product review website. I'm also a freelance arts and culture writer, currently contributing to TVLine. Previously, I worked as an editorial intern at TV Guide Magazine and its sister site, TV Insider. I've also interned for the New York Post's entertainment streaming-focused website Decider, Texas Monthly, and People Newspapers. Last but not least, I'm the former Editor-in-Chief of NYU Local, NYU's student-run blog, where I worked on city and on-campus features and news as well as entertainment criticism.
When I'm not writing, I'm probably at a Harry Styles concert or bingeing a sci-fi or fantasy show. Both are just as likely.
